In October, however, we didn't do a single bit of sewing for Stache. It's festival season, and we spent a great deal of time sewing doll dresses for MIL to put in her booth:
None have sold yet; they're available on etsy at Sandy's Homemade Crafts.
As soon as those were done, I took the youngest two to Wal Mart to get fabric for costumes of their own. After much negotiation, they settled upon Anna and Elsa from the Coronation scene in Frozen. Walmart had most of the fabric at $2 per yard, so that was good, because I had to get hotfix crystal capability to do the embellishment properly. And lastly, I finally got the middle two girls to decide upon outfits of their own. Back to Wal Mart again for more of the $2/yard satin. We spent a lot of time at UNC children's hospital this week, which took up a lot of my sewing time, but these two girls helped with the cutting and some of the simpler sewing techniques, and we were done by 2:30 in the afternoon.
Next up is some more doll outfits for one last festival booth this year. The Hufflepuff Dalek turns 14 a week from tomorrow, so there will be sewing for that, too. After that we have the Christmas sewing. The list for that includes two blankets and two jackets that I know of.
